LuLaRoe Consultant Kris Lancaster Smalley

I wanted to introduce you to Chris and I and tell you about our family. I have three children of my own (all adopted) and Chris has three boys. My children all have special needs and require extra support at home and school. I always wanted to be a mom just didn’t know how or when that would happen. Nicole and Billy came to live with me on July 5, 2000 at the ages of 8 months and 19 months. As a single person, my world was turned upside down and I am so grateful my mom was alive and healthy enough at that time to be a huge help and support person in my life!

Billy has Cerebral Palsy and has no use of his four limbs and due to his medical status, requires 24/7 nursing care. He has bright red hair, big blue eyes and the best smile ever!! He was only supposed to live to be 10 and was on hospice care at that time. He has exceeded all medical limitations and is 17 years old now and even attending school as a junior!!!

My beautiful daughter, Nicole is 18 and will graduate from high school this year. She is great with little kids, loves arts and crafts and lives in Lularoe leggings!! She is excited for our new journey with this company and is excited to help. She will attend a transition program next fall until she is 21 years old. After that, we are hoping she is able to live on her own with minimal support.

My youngest son, Jake came to me at 2 years old and boy did he ever rock my world! I had not had the experience of a very busy, mobile little boy as of yet and it was exhausting. He didn’t sleep well so he ended up sleeping with me, which I believe strengthened, our bond and has assisted in the relationship we have today. He is now 13, attends middle school and has an autism label. He is an amazing dude with lots of humor and personality.

I teach full time as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. I have been in this career for 20 years and love what I do. I am hoping that at some point, Lularoe will assist our family in allowing me to go back to a part time status. My kids need me to be home more then I can be working full time.

Chris and I met and married in 2012. He has three amazing boys who live with their mom in Cannon Falls. He visits with them weekly and his youngest son spends two weekends per month with us.

Josiah is 16, a junior and excels at school. He is taking post secondary classes through Northwestern University to get ahead in his education. He also participates in the high school drama club at school and enjoys that immensely. Eli, who is 14 and is very active in a variety of sports. He plays baseball, basketball and football. Micah is our youngest and he is 12. He has participated in football, basketball and baseball. He enjoys video games and hanging out with friends.

Chris has his master’s degree from Northwestern University in Theological Studies. He recently started a new job working at Amazon. He is an avid Wild fan, loves family time, cooking and baking. He is an amazing cook! He is excited for this new adventure as well. He will be supporting our business by doing all the tech details, taking pictures and shipping our goods.

We are both looking forward to what Lularoe can offer us as a family. Let the journey begin. ☺
