Welcome to MONAT! My name is Terri Woo, I have been an Independent Market Partner with MONAT for over 3 years. I came into this business without any formal knowledge of hair, haircare, let alone love for cosmetic products.
I had suffered a series of personal losses that afflicted my health in years prior, in turn causing some auto-immune disorders followed by some Cancer scares. I had had one child in which I suffered significant hair loss from my pregnancy but tended to pay little to no mind about until my health screenings started being so negative in recent years. I've endured endometriosis and a series of Thyroid concerns as well- all things that have contributed to all I can call it now was, 'bad hair.'
Needless to say, when I came into MONAT it wasn't me seeking a business opportunity. I worked for an auditing firm for years and also worked within the Health care field for many years. I was a single working mom, trying to provide for my child and battle life as I knew it.
I was introduced to the company by a dear friend, due to circumstance I needed better hair after surgery and likely a better outlook on life.
I took a leap of faith and spent hours combing over the product information and business plan before I decided to commit, yet not even having tried the products! I invested with the idea I would at least use what I purchased and worse case, gift the rest. Needless to say, after being bed ridden for over two weeks, in addition to my health concerns and side-effects it had on my hair- after 1 week of washing with MONAT, Life and opportunities just got really Real and my hair- Good Lord, my hair was Amazing. And that was probably the first time Id ever really thought that.
Fast forward to today, this tiny little start up company is my first venture into Direct Sales. We didn't expect to have even 1Million in sales that first year, we closed over 25x that!! Mind you, I never pictured myself a salesperson. This whole 'networking' principal has truly paid off for so many and it fits so naturally into the way we do things in society today. I retired from my full time office job over a year ago thanks to MONAT. I currently work with a number of people across the US and Canada, many who have now become some of my closest friends! Ive traveled more miles in the last year than I have in the previous 10years and much if not all has been paid for by this company.
No longer am I just a single mom, working two jobs to make ends meet, with lackluster hair and worrying about tomorrow.
