Poetic Xchange is an ever-evolving community of Poetic People, a place to inspire each other and celebrate our lives through heartfelt jewelry exchanges, and a entrepreneurial vehicle for women who want to transform themselves and their lives, experience abundance, prosperity, and personal growth, and work in an environment where they feel empowered, supported, and part of a growing sisterhood.
Poetic XChange would not exist if not for Waxing Poetic, and Waxing Poetic would not exist if not for its founders (and sisters) Patti and Lizanne taking risks on one another and themselves and running with the idea if you dedicate yourself to contributing beautiful, meaningful, long-lasting, well-designed and heartfelt products into the world, aim to do what is right and good in business, employ sustainable manufacturing practices, treat your employees with dignity and respect, and refuse to compromise on quality, eventually the cynics lose and you win a following, a community of fans and friends, and the means to develop new ways of giving back. And somehow, it worked.
Now, after almost 15 years, we’ve arrived at a place where we have the opportunity to give back (and forward!) with Poetic XChange. A Luminary is a bright, compassionate, inspiring, empowered, and attentive guide to her friends and clients. She takes the stage the Host has set for her, and she shines and shares her insight and expertise with everyone at the XChange, helping them choose the best piece(s) for their keepsake jewelry purposes, or guiding them through the process of selecting elements to design one of Poetic XChange’s exclusive new customizable collections.
Literally, the word luminary means a source of light or a person who inspires and leads others. We over all the other conventional ‘rep’ terms because 1. Those other words are often dull and 2. We believe our Luminaries can be and usually are all of those things.

I am a mother and wife, after my service in the military I decided to become a stay at home mom. I had missed so much time with my first born that when my daughter came along I knew it was time to exit the military. I loved being a stay at home mother after a few years I knew something was missing.
